Big hole in the back side !!

Over the last couple of weeks I have been busy fitting the transom shield onto the boat. The installation manual states that the transom should be flat within 1.5mm, well guess what mine wasn't. I was so pissed off with this. I expected a brand new boat out of the mould to be perfect. Anyway I had to grind, the middle section out then fill with gelcoat, sand it smooth ans paint again.

I only did the area around the transom shield so it's not as noticeable. Anyway after that I had to do the inside face too because there was so much fiberglass in one corner that the inner plate was not sitting flat.

It's all done now and hopefully I will have the transom shield installed and ready to go.

I also did some work on the engine mounts and the Fuel tank. Once i get the engine alignment tool i will drop the engine in and check the mounts are OK before i fibreglass them in place.
